Free Fireworks Signs for Veterans

Free Veteran Lawn Signs – 4th of July
Sunday June 23,2019 from 9am-11am

In preparation for July 4th, the Community Ambulance Company partnering with Suffolk Legislator William Lindsay will be offering free yard lawn signs to veterans throughout Suffolk County that read, “Combat Veteran lives here. Please be courteous with fireworks.”

Unexpected fireworks right outside your window can be startling for anyone. For veterans coping with post traumatic stress disorder, the sudden, loud blasts can trigger flashbacks, anxiety or worse. These signs will encourage neighbors to communicate with veterans and be more aware before setting off fireworks on the 4th of July.

The signs will be distributed on Sunday June 23,2019 between the hours of 9am to 11am located at the Community Ambulance Company 420 Lakeland Avenue, Sayville NY 11782. To RSVP a sign please go to Please print your ticket and bring it with you to obtain a sign.

The distribution will be conveniently located in the front of the building, first floor, making it easy to drive up and obtain your sign. We will have light refreshments.

If you are a veteran suffering from PTSD or you are family or friends of a veteran suffering from PTSD, please contact the Veterans Crisis Line at 1-800-273-8255 and Press 1. You can also chat online or send a text message to 838255 to recieve support 24 hours a day
